What is the skill level for the weekly tournaments?
Typically the teams that will register are the travel teams from youth leagues that represent their club at regional tournaments. Some clubs will combine players from several travel clubs within their age group to form a new team for participation at Golden Goal. Every attempt will be made to provide separate competition for elite teams.

Why register now?
The tournament field complex and residential village space is limited to 36 teams per weekly session. Since there are dedicated weeks for boys and girls in U12 through U15 there are not many spaces available for the thousands of travel teams in the United States. In addition, youth teams from Canada and foreign countries have attended this unique all-inclusive sports park. Registration will be accepted strictly on a first received basis.

What age does my team qualify for during the 2012 summer season?
Your team's grade level is current school year 2011/2012.

How can I register my team?
Travel team coaches or managers can register their teams on the registration page. Coaches can complete the registration form on line and submit via email or they can print out the form, complete the required information and either mail or fax to Golden Goal with a $200 deposit.

How is payment made to Golden Goal?
We are asking each travel team coach to assume the responsibility for collecting the registration fee from all players on his/her team and submit to Golden Goal. Payments can be made either by check made payable to Golden Goal or via credit card by submitting the necessary information on goldengoallacrosse.com.
Are there any fundraising programs available for our team to implement?
Yes. Golden Goal has arranged for a fundraising program that has been very successful with college and high school teams and clubs. More information is available on our website at www.goldengoalpark.com or by contacting info@goldengoalpark.com or call (888) 909 6688

What is the fee for Coaches who attend?
We appreciate all of the efforts that coaches put into their teams and the role that they will play in creating a positive experience for the teams attending Golden Goal. All head coaches attend Golden Goal for free and any assistant coaches staying in the Athlete Village are charged only $325 for the 5 day residential training camps/tournaments.

Are Referees Needed?
Yes. Golden Goal invites certified referees to attend weekly sessions where they will reside and have all of their meals in the Athlete Village for no charge. Please contact info@ goldenpark.com or call (888) 909 6688 if you would like to be considered for a Guest Referee position.

What is the deposit and is it refundable?
Coaches can reserve a slot for their team in one of the dedicated weeks for the team's age group by submitting a registration form and a $200 payment for the entire team. The $200 deposit will reserve the spot for 30 days when a second payment of $500 is due to continue to reserve the teams' participation. If at any time prior to the second payment, the coach decides that the team will not be attending they will receive a full refund. Once the second payment is made, all payments are non-refundable.

Can I register as an individual?
From time to time teams are seeking guest players to complete their roster or provide additional substitutes throughout the tournament week. If you are interested in being considered as a guest player contact info@goldengoalpark.com

Can parents participate at Golden Goal?
Parents that are coaches and or certified referees can attend Golden Goal and live in the Athlete Village. Parents and family members of participants are encouraged to attend the park daily during tournament hours and for special events. There will also be special programming and dedicated dining facilities for family members who visit Golden Goal. The Athlete Village will have 24-hour security and following a parent orientation on Saturday each week to help the athletes move in to the Village, parents will not be allowed into the Athlete Village.

Is the Park Secure?
Security is a primary precaution at Golden Goal. The Park and Athlete Village are continuously patrolled and staffed with 24-hour security staff members. The Athlete Village (with the exception of Sunday morning when parents may assist in the move-in process) is a controlled access venue where only the registered and identified athletes, coaches, and referees may enter. Any team member or coach leaving the park must sign out and all players must be signed out by their coach, parent, or designated guardian.

Does everyone attending need to complete the forms and waivers?
Yes. The necessary background information and waiver forms can be downloaded on the registration page and reproduced for completion by each player, coach, and guest referee attending Golden Goal.

Can players leave the Park?
Yes. Participants at Golden Goal may be signed out of the park by either the team coach, guardian or their parents to visit the many attractions in Lake George and Saratoga Springs.

Should we bring our team uniforms?
Yes, players will wear their team uniforms during opening and closing ceremonies as well as for tournament games.

What is included in the player package?
In addition to full clubhouse style room and board for 5 nights, each participant will receive a photo gift from Golden Goal. There will also be prizes for team and individual skills contest winners and Team Trophies for top teams in weekly tournament.

What should each participant bring?
Each cabin is equipped with bunk beds and space for belongings. In addition to all of your usual tournament and practice wear, attire at Golden Goal is very casual and comfortable. In the region it can get chilly (50's) at night so bring a few heavier items to wear. Also, the summer season does bring rain, so some type of rain gear is helpful. The Athlete Village will be well lit, but as a precaution against power failure you may want to bring a small flashlight. Each person needs to bring sheets (or a sleeping bag to place on top of the bunk bed), a pillow and pillowcase, washcloth and towels. Also toiletries such as liquid soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, and shampoo should be brought with a portable carrier to bring to the bathhouses that are adjacent to the clubhouses. The Department of Health mandates that bathing suits and waterproof shower shoes must also be worn to the bathhouses for showers.

How is laundry handled?
Golden Goal has made arrangements for daily laundry wash and fold service for a small weekly charge to have a fresh uniform daily and limits the amount of clothing that you bring. As an alternative, the coach or a parent can visit a nearby Laundromat to handle the laundry needs for the team.

Besides the tournament games what else is there to do at Golden Goal?
You can have non-stop action at Golden Goal or relax when you need a little down time. Some of the additional amenities include the Golden Goal Challenge Course, Skills Contests Experience, Golden Goal Arcades filled with challenging and fun video games, music/entertainment, a well-stocked retail store with a full line of Golden Goal apparel and merchandise, practice fields, movie nights, fireworks, special guest speakers, and vending machines, . As a break from all of the activities in the Park, participants under adult supervision are encouraged to take advantage of the many historic and recreational Adirondack area attractions.

Why was the Lake George area selected for Golden Goal?
Golden Goal specifically targeted this region for the creation and operation of the finest youth sports experience and tournament in the world. Its summer climate is ideal for youth sport participation and has hundreds of attractions and events taking place throughout the summer. Participants, under adult supervision and their families can take a break from all of the activities in the Park and take advantage of the many historic and recreational Adirondack area attractions. We encourage families to join their son or daughter attending a Golden Goal tournament and make this a week-long action packed vacation at one of the most popular summer tourist destinations in the United States.

Will we face many new teams?
Golden Goal is recruiting teams and receiving registration forms from all regions of the United States, Canada, and foreign countries. Each team will be will be exposed to a tremendous cross-section of teams in the Athlete Village and throughout the park during the week. In fact, we invite you to come and play for a week…the friends and memories will last a lifetime.

Will my team have practice time?
Yes. There are practice fields that you can schedule time for your team when you arrive and register. In addition, as the tournament moves into the later stages, fields will become available for you to schedule practices or games against teams that you meet at Golden Goal.

What if I have to take medication daily or have a medical problem at the Park?
Golden Goal has a complete medical facility with 24-hour medical professional staff that will inventory and dispense medication according the label directions. In case of accident, injury, or other medical emergency the highly trained on-site staff are coordinated with Washington County medical facilities that are fully equipped to deal with emergency situations.

Golden Goal™ is more than the greatest youth lacrosse sports tournament ever created but it is also a place where teams and families partake in an environment of athletic, social and cultural exchange with others from different states and countries in attendance.
